Managing Director, Capital Markets
Brent is a managing director in the Charlotte office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has more than 20 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, debt capital markets and corporate finance. He is primarily responsible for originating corporate finance as well as project/portfolio transactions and advice throughout the U.S. for a broad range of commercial real estate clients.
In 2016, Brent came to HFF from Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Charlotte, where he was a director in its real estate corporate banking division. In this role, he managed a portfolio of institutional real estate and lodging clients ranging from private equity fund sponsors to global hotel managers. Before that, he was a vice president in the real estate syndicated finance division of Bank of America Securities in San Francisco and Charlotte, where he originated and executed large-scale real estate financings across all levels of the capital structure.
In addition to procuring property-level mortgage debt, Brent has extensive experience structuring and arranging entity-level financings for commercial real estate borrowers. During the course of his career, Brent has been responsible for the execution of more than $20 billion of commercial and corporate real estate debt financings.
