Maritime shipping company relocates Houston-area operations

JLL secures new office lease for Yang Ming

November 06, 2020

HOUSTON, Nov. 6, 2020 – On behalf of Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation, JLL announced the successful lease negotiation of a new 34,510-square-foot office lease today. The maritime shipping company will relocate their regional office to 3250 Briarpark Drive in Houston.

JLL Senior Vice President Don Foster successfully negotiated the lease on behalf of Yang Ming. Transwestern’s Kristen Baker and David Baker represented the landlord.

“Having an office environment that attracts and retains top talent, re-enforces culture, and maximizes productivity continues to drive the demand for quality office space in Houston,” said Foster. “Yang Ming’s new office offers greater flexibility and compliments their immediate and long-term needs.”

According to a post-COVID workplace survey by Big Red Rooster, a JLL company, 94 percent of employees want the option to return to the physical office, indicating that remote work should augment, not replace, traditional offices. The same survey found that out of workplaces, restaurants, and retail locations, respondents trust workplaces the most in terms of safety, reaffirming a positive outlook for the future of office demand.
