CHICAGO, May 18, 2022 – JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group announced today that Americas CEO Kevin Davis has been named to the board of directors of Adai (Active Design Advisors, Inc.), an affiliate of The Center for Active Design.

Adai was established by CfAD in 2021 as a new business unit designed to help grow and drive implementation of Fitwel®, its popular healthy building certification system. As demand for wellness real estate spiked during the COVID-19 pandemic, so too did Fitwel certifications, which saw a 325% increase in annual growth of all certifications from 2020 to 2021.

More and more people are benefitting from the positive health impacts that Fitwel supports. From 2020 to 2021, there was a 405% increase in the total number of occupants impacted by Fitwel.

“I’m tremendously excited to join the board of Adai as the company seeks to increase awareness and implementation of the Fitwel certification in hospitality,” Davis noted. “Hotels are among the largest consumers of water and power relative to other commercial real estate asset classes and I’m particularly interested in helping our industry achieve greater environmental sustainability.”

Davis is the Chief Executive Officer of JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group, Americas, where he is responsible for investment sales, debt and equity placement, strategic advisory and asset management. Previously, Kevin led JLL’s Hotel Investment Banking group and brings over 20 years of hospitality and capital markets experience to the role. Since joining JLL in 2013, Mr. Davis has been involved in over $20 billion of financings ranging from ground-up construction projects to stabilized properties. Widely recognized in the industry, Davis won the 2019 Jack A. Shaffer Financial Advisor of the Year Award at the American Lodging Investment Summit, which honors industry leaders that showcase outstanding ability to foster client relationships and close deals that benefit both parties in a transaction.

Mr. Davis holds a B.A. with Honors in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, a J.D. from the UCLA School of Law and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality Group has completed more transactions than any other hotels and hospitality real estate advisor over the last five years, totaling $83 billion worldwide. The group’s 350-strong global team in over 20 countries also closed more than 7,350 advisory, valuation and asset management assignments. Our hotel valuation, brokerage, asset management and consultancy services have helped more hotel investors, owners and operators achieve high returns on their assets than any other real estate advisor in the world.
