JLL Design Solutions appoints Stephen Jay as leader

COLUMBUS, OHIO, June 28, 2023 – JLL announced today that Managing Director Stephen Jay will lead Design Solutions, which is part of JLL Project and Development Services (PDS) and provides clients an end-to-end design consultancy that delivers innovative and effective spaces that propel client’s growth while enhancing global connectivity with JLL’s designers across the world. In this new role, Jay is responsible for the day-to-day leadership of this high-growth area of JLL.

Based in Columbus, Ohio, Jay brings over 20 years of experience to the recently renamed Design Solutions group. He now leads a team of 150 design professionals in the Americas, overseeing workplace and multisite retail specialists in architecture, strategic design and marketing activation. Previously, Jay served as Managing Director of Experience Design, leading a team of 50 within Design Solutions (formerly Big Red Rooster). Prior to JLL, Jay led the North America business for global design consultancy, Fitch and design strategy consulting with RPA, an architecture, planning and retail design firm.

With Jay’s leadership, Design Solutions will increase global alignment and retail and workplace clients will benefit from Design Solutions’ extensive consumer and brand-led design experience. Part of PDS, Design Solutions offers a global full-service experience that consults, designs, manages and builds the client’s vision.
