JLL Charlotte grows team with four strategic hires
Team’s expansion comes on the heels of JLL’s move to a 41,000-square-foot office space at Legacy Union in Uptown Charlotte
JLL announces four new hires to the firm’s Charlotte office, each bringing vast market experience and specialized industry expertise to the team. The new hires will play an integral role in deploying JLL Charlotte’s holistic workplace planning platform and growing the office’s Agency Leasing team.
Courtney Fain joins JLL Charlotte as Vice President of Workplace Planning & Strategy, a new role for the local office. Fain will support the Carolinas region by partnering with brokers and business development teams to develop customized workplace strategies, lead client-facing office reentry efforts, optimize evolving real estate portfolios, and prepare clients and their employees for the future of work. Most recently, Fain served as a Studio Principal of the Workplace Interiors Studio at Little where she focused on creating human-focused work environments. She brings significant experience in occupancy planning and workplace strategy to JLL and a unique perspective on the importance of prioritizing well-being for all users of the built environment.
According to JLL’s Global Regenerative Workplace study, 36% of employees feel a lack of energy and struggle to remain motivated and engaged in their jobs, and 33% do not consider their company a great place to work anymore. Under Fain's leadership, JLL Charlotte is applying these learnings to help employers recognize the importance of acknowledging the health and wellbeing needs of the workforce and develop long-term strategies for attracting and retaining top talent.
“As companies continue to reopen their offices and welcome employees back, it’s critical that they create an environment – both physically and culturally – that supports their employees’ mental, social and physical health,” says Fain. “As the talent pool shrinks, and even satisfied workers are reporting they’re open to new opportunities, it’s never been more important for companies to get it right as they evaluate their workforce, workplace and future goals. I’m looking forward to stepping into this new role and developing solutions to benefit both employers and employees across the Carolinas.”
In addition, Grant Keyes and Holden Brayboy join JLL Charlotte’s Agency Leasing team as Senior Vice President and Senior Brokerage Associate, respectively. As Senior Vice President, Keyes will facilitate leasing efforts for office and medical office assets on behalf of institutional, regional and local clients. Through his vast industry expertise and ownership mindset, Keyes specializes in providing thoughtful and creative strategies for clients. Keyes previously served as a director at Cushman & Wakefield. As Senior Brokerage Associate, Brayboy will support the firm in harnessing the attention of major occupiers and corporations. Most recently, Brayboy served as research manager for CBRE.
Anna Schiavone also joins JLL as Manager of Sales Enablement, where she will support sales enablement initiatives and provide business support for brokers across the Carolinas. Prior to joining JLL, Schiavone led brand strategy and marketing operations for a fintech company.
“As Charlotte continues to experience momentum, we’re thrilled to have the opportunity to expand our team by introducing new roles that answer market demand and build upon the incredible brokerage and business development foundation we have established,” said Chase Monroe, Carolinas Market Director. “It’s an exciting time to be part of JLL and each of our new and incredibly talented teammates will play an impactful role in shaping the future of our business. I look forward to this next chapter of growth for our office.”
In March, JLL opened a new office at Legacy Union in Uptown Charlotte. Spanning nearly two floors and 41,000 square feet, the space represents a major expansion for the Charlotte team, which has grown 47% year over year since 2019. The new office successfully brought together 150 professionals in a larger, more collaborative setting, with the opportunity to accommodate up to 200 employees. Today, JLL Charlotte’s growing team spans seven business lines, including Work Dynamics, Tenant Representation, Landlord Representation, Capital Markets, Property Management, Project and Development Services, and JLL Technologies.
