National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) award recognizes women’s advancement efforts for 3rd straight year
CHICAGO, March 6, 2018 — Reinforcing its commitment to diversity, JLL (NYSE: JLL) has again been named one of the NAFE Top Companies for Executive Women. The 2018 award recognizes 70 companies that have women in top executive positions and a culture that fosters the careers of talented women. JLL also received this recognition in 2016 and 2017.
Greg O'Brien, Chief Executive Officer, JLL Americas, said, "Diversity and inclusion are essential elements in delivering value for clients and stakeholders, and we're proud to be recognized again this year by NAFE. Encouraging and celebrating diverse perspectives throughout our organization allows us to best serve clients while enabling staff to achieve their ambitions. Our Chairman Sheila Penrose and our board of directors - nearly half of which is female - help set the tone for our inclusive culture. We champion diversity because it is critical to our success."
The 2018 NAFE Top Companies application includes approximately 200 questions on female representation at all levels, especially the corporate officer and profit-and-loss ranks. The vetting process includes tracking access and usage of programs and policies that promote the advancement of women as well as the training and accountability of managers in relation to the number of women who advance. In order to be eligible for the NAFE Top Companies survey, entrants must have a minimum of 1,000 employees and two women on the Board of Directors. NAFE also separately names the Top 10 companies in the nonprofit sector.
