Ella Cooper recognized as 40 Under 40
The distinction is awarded to individuals who exhibit the ‘next generation of Greater Washington business elite’
WASHINGTON, Feb. 13, 2024 - JLL announced today that Ella Cooper, vice president of brokerage, has been named to the Washington Business Journal’s 2024 40 Under 40 list, a prestigious group of rising stars from the Greater DC region. The list includes individuals from all types of businesses who have proven to be leaders both in business as well as their communities.
“Ella is the very embodiment of a top, young business leader and precisely the type of person this program sets out to honor,” said Chris Molivadas, Mid-Atlantic Market Director, JLL. “She is an exceptional citizen and colleague. Her accomplishments go well beyond the commercial real estate industry, and they began well before her career at JLL. In her professional career as a tenant rep broker, Ella has worked on hundreds of transactions and she is a member of one of the most successful brokerage teams in the nation. We are proud of her accomplishments and look forward to enabling her continued growth here at JLL.”
Cooper is a member of JLL’s DC-based Law Firm Group which specializes in global portfolio representation of AMLAW 200 firms. She has personally transacted more than one million square feet of space in DC alone. She has worked on approximately 200 transactions throughout the course of her career and currently represents five AMLAW 100 firms in their global real estate portfolios.
Cooper’s work outside the JLL office is equally as remarkable. As a Board Member of the DC Metro Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, she was honored with the Metro D.C. Finest Award in 2017. She went on to serve as co-head of the Finest campaign, and now serves on the Brewers Ball and Feastival event committees. Her leadership and impact were further recognized by the organization in 2023, when she received the Tomorrow’s Leaders Award at the Volunteers Leadership Conference in Denver, CO.
As a Junior Board Member of WINNERS Lacrosse, she facilitates summer practices and clinics for kids through WINNERS and continues to work with the Junior Board on several initiatives including fundraising and expanding the reach of the organization.
A longtime volunteer with the One Love Foundation, Cooper became a trained Escalation Workshop Facilitator allowing her to work in schools and help educate the community about the signs of relationship violence and promote healthy relationships. A former Division 1 Lacrosse Player and 2016 graduate of the University of Virginia, Cooper’s award will be announced at an event on February 21st.
