This International Women’s Day and every day, we are proud to recognize our inspiring women leaders and allies at JLL.
Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
The senior women of JLL Capital Markets have always been my greatest female role models. They have inspired me to take a seat at the table, work hard, speak up for what I want and that I don’t have to choose family or career, I can have both. I won’t name names because I am sure I would forget someone, but this collection of women has been my greatest inspiration.
How are you inspiring women to achieve their ambitions at JLL?
Hopefully, by leading by example I can help other women believe that with hard work and motivation you can accomplish anything. The only person who can hold you back is you. By having a voice in the conversation, I am hopeful I can inspire other women to want to be in the room and to encourage them to fight to be there.
Why does inclusion matter to you?
It’s not enough to change recruiting practices and hire for diversity, the process of inclusion helps to ensure someone not only comes to JLL but stays at JLL. Without inclusion, any diversity initiative will fail. People want to feel valued and respected and without that, you aren’t truly creating a sustainable model.
