Global Head of Talent, United States
This International Women’s Day and every day, we are proud to recognize our inspiring women leaders and allies at JLL.
Who is a female inspiration/role model to you and why?
Josephine Kasa-Vubu a woman from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, who came to the US to pursue a career as a pediatric endocrinologist. She is a lead researcher at the University of Michigan with three children, one with special needs. I was always impressed by her intellect, great passion for her field, and fierce commitment to her family. When I met her in my early 20s, she was the vision of amazing to me — managing a very successful career, leading world class research in a very important area, and being a fantastic mom and advocate for her children.
Why does inclusion matter to you?
When people feel included, they are more likely to perform, bring creative ideas to the table, and stay at JLL. This means inclusion drives the business forward by helping our people bring their full selves to work. An inclusive workforce wins more and feels better for everyone.
How are you inspiring women to achieve their ambitions at JLL?
I lead a fantastic team who are in charge of Inclusion and Culture, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Learning & Leadership Development. We spend our time understanding the business and then creating best in class products and tools to help you learn, grow, and achieve your ambitions.
