Global Litigation Director, JLL and General Counsel, JLL Americas
Ryndy is responsible for overseeing the legal services provided to JLL’s businesses in the Americas. She also oversees JLL’s global litigation portfolio and helps guide global ethics policies.
Ryndy has risen in the ranks at JLL for almost two decades. She previously held roles as Chief Employment and Litigation Counsel and then General Counsel for JLL’s Canada and Latin America businesses before she added the United States to her docket in March 2016.
Ryndy’s law career started soon after she graduated from Princeton University in 1987. After teaching seventh grade for a year, she went to law school. While attending the University of Michigan Law School, she became a note editor for the University of Michigan Journal of International Law. After earning her juris doctorate, Ryndy worked as a law clerk for Justice Dorothy Comstock Riley of the Michigan Supreme Court.
Ryndy went on to work as a litigation attorney in Chicago with McDermott, Will & Emery and Jackson Lewis Schnitzler & Krupman. With a national trial practice focused on commercial and employment litigation, she also hosted employment discrimination seminars throughout the U.S. before joining JLL in 2000.
Ryndy, who is based in Chicago, is a licensed attorney in the states of Illinois and Michigan. She is a member of the bar in the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Courts of Appeal and the Michigan State Bar Association, among others.
In her spare time, Ryndy enjoys swimming. If she could, she would begin every morning in the pool. She lives in Lincoln Park with her husband and two children. Ryndy and her family like to travel home to visit family in Michigan and abroad to see new places. She likes to spend time outside with her family walking their dogs, taking in a beach volleyball game, or biking along the lakefront.
