President, Corporate Solutions, Americas
Doug is responsible for the development, sale, and delivery of products and services that help clients derive strategic value from their real estate portfolios.
Doug’s career in commercial real estate spans more than three decades and includes experience on all sides of the industry: as an investor, a corporate user, and an advisor. After earning a degree in economics from the University of Michigan, he joined a team property-managing a 350,000-square-foot office complex in 1985. He went on to gain the investor perspective while working for JMB Realty, and the client perspective while overseeing the merger of more than 200 bank branches for Wells Fargo Bank.
In his two decades at JLL, Doug has served in a number of leadership roles. He previously led JLL’s Project and Development Services (PDS) business in the Americas (including the U.S., Canada, and Latin America), which included development management, interior project management, and program management initiatives. In that role, he was responsible for more than 600 professionals managing more than $5 billion in capital projects.
Today, Doug’s job increasingly involves tailoring digitally enabled offerings that transform how clients use, manage, and drive value from real estate.
Based in Charleston, South Carolina, Doug is a strong believer in the value of education. He is a faculty member at CoreNet (Corporate Real Estate Network), where he has co-lectured on both project management and basic finance. He also holds a Master’s of Corporate Real Estate (MCR) designation from CoreNet. In his spare time, Doug likes to spend time with his family. He also enjoys golfing and ski trips.
