Construction fuels growth in central business district

  • ​Uptown, has over 1.5 million square feet of office space under construction. Headlined by, Crescent Communities’ groundbreaking of the Ally Charlotte Center, and the continued progress of Lincoln Harris’ Legacy Union. Both with anticipated deliveries of 2020 and 2021.

  • Midtown/South End is expected to have over one million square feet of new deliveries in the next 12 months, with 265,000 at 1515 S. Tryon expected to deliver in Q3 2018.

  • With over one million square feet of new construction delivered last year, vacancy rates have remained stable at 11.5%. Newer product is pushing rents, with Class A reaching $33.20 with many of the new buildings marketing vacant space in the $36.00-$38.00 range.
