Where are the DFW nerds?

• JLL recently released a national report titled "Where are the workers?" looking at the growing severity of the labor shortage across the nation. This is starting to affect a wide range of occupations.

• Tenants are regularly looking at the labor supply landscape across the D-FW area to be as close as possible to the right labor pools. By minimizing commute times, worker attraction and retention can be maximized.

• The image above shows an example allowing clients to explore the availability of labor. We have filtered the map to show ZIP codes with 1,000 or more STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) resident workers, for example. In addition to where workers live, the same map can show where they work, the expected growth by ZIP code, wages, and net commuters.

• Some ZIP codes along the Dallas North Tollway and US-75 will add another 1,000 or more STEM workers each over the next five years.
