Indiana voted one of best states for business

• In an annual survey, magazine Chief Executive has ranked Indiana as the fifth best state for business. This is the third year in a row that Indiana placed fifth. Additionally, Indiana is the highest ranked state in the Midwest. Ohio is the only other Midwestern state to crack the Top Ten.

• States were ranked in three categories: Taxation and Regulation, Workforce Quality, and Living Environment. Indiana ranked twelfth in both Taxation and Regulation and Living Environment and placed eighth in Workforce Quality.

• The publication noted that the collaboration between state governments, local governments, universities, and the private sector has built a pro-business culture. Because of this, the state can tout its strong advanced manufacturing industry and a growing tech sector.
