Indianapolis metro office one of largest growing in the U.S. to begin the new year

  • The Indianapolis office  market started 2018 strong. The metro posted 170,000 square feet of net absorption, the highest level of growth in a single quarter in nearly two years. This absorption total was good enough to rank Indy 15th nationally in the first quarter. Taking a more regional look, Indianapolis trails only Minneapolis in the Midwest, a market more than double its size.

  • Investors have certainly taken notice of Indianapolis’ ranking among tier 1 coastal markets. Five sales closed this quarter, two of which featured buyers new to the market. Further, half of the skyline properties in downtown Indy have traded hands in the past two years. Expect solid investment activity to continue across the metro area throughout the remainder of the year.
