KC ranked among the best places to live in the nation

  • Kansas City is the 29th largest metro in the United States with an average household income of $69,301. That paired with average cost of living, $19,756, is what makes Kansas City among the most affordable and best places to live. According to the Kansas City Star, the highest marks were given to mostly southern and midwestern cities. Compared to the coast, these cities are often overlooked. Cost of living and average income are definitely the two major factors people look at when considering moving to a new city.

  • But the standard of living isn’t the only factor that makes Kansas City one of the best places to live. Kansas City’s community pride is second to none, whether it’s supporting the Royals and Chiefs, or hosting charity events like the Big Slick to raise money for Children’s Mercy. Kansas City also has great attractions like the national WWII Museum, Sea Life Aquarium, Power and Light District, and Starlight Theatre. To those who live here, it’s no surprise that Kansas City is ranked on of the best.
