Tempe takes the number one spot for U.S. Growth Cities

• In their analysis of over 1.7 million one-way U-Haul truck rentals entering cities throughout the country, Tempe was ranked at the top of 2017’s U.S. Growth Cities, based on the net gain of one-way truck rentals last year.

• Tempe was ranked the number one, followed by Boise and Miami. Surprise, a retirement community within the Phoenix metro, also made the list at number 14, outranking San Francisco and Manhattan.

• In the last four years, Tempe has been home to over 27 percent of the Phoenix market’s office absorption, spurred by the announcement and completion of State Farm’s 2.0 million-square-foot campus adjacent to Arizona State University. The steady flow of in-migration and new ASU graduates will continue to sustain employment growth.
