Toys ‘R’ Us closing 5 stores in the Kansas City Metro

  • Toys “R” Us has announced that they will be closing all 735 of it’s U.S. stores. Toys “R” Us currently operates five stores in the Kansas City area which includes two Babies “R” Us stores. In addition to closing their retail stores, Toys “R” Us will also be closing its 400,000 square foot distribution center located in Lee’s Summit.
  • Toys “R” Us &  Babies “R” Us stores range from 20,000 to 55,000 square feet. These closings will open the door for other, perhaps smaller, retail companies to capitalize on in-store customer service.
