Minnesota is the best state for women in America

  • March is Women's History Month, and International Women's Day was recently celebrated around the world on March 8th. Gender equality has been an important topic in 2018's political, social, and economic conversations. While there is still progress to be made, Minnesota is leading the U.S. in its quality of life for females.

  • Minnesota is top in the nation for its labor force participation rate among women and specifically mothers. It is the #1 state for highest female incomes (adjusted for cost of living). Other "Top Five" categories for Minnesotan women include highest graduation rates, highest life expectancies, lowest poverty rates, and lowest uninsured rates. Our local economy is arguably the most advantageous economy in the nation for both women and men, in part due to private sector employers that prioritize gender equality.

  • Speaking of which, JLL has an impressive list of accolades for its diversity and inclusion. JLL received a perfect score (100/100) on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index. It ranks among the top companies for executive women (National Association for Female Executive) and working mothers (Working Mother Media). Not to mention JLL is consistently recognized for its ethnic minority representation and LGBT equality initiatives.
