Investment streams into red hot industrial market

Charlotte has benefited from strong economic underpinnings and shift in institutional capital flow into high growth, mid-tier markets. As the internet continues to disrupt and shape the way business is done, the industrial real estate sector has been a direct beneficiary as goods need to be manufactured, stored, and sorted, now increasingly without routing through a store.

  • From 2016-2017 the Charlotte industrial market experienced $1.3 billion in sales
  • Key deals include; Stoneridge Realty and Investment purchased a 1,000,000 s.f. distribution center from Hartz Mountain and Samsung purchased a 453,000 s.f. facility from Caterpillar.
  • Heading into 2018,strong economic tailwinds will facilitate continued investment into the Carolinas.
