Take a look at where Silicon Valley’s large block availabilities are concentrated

• The Valley currently has 46 large block availabilities, defined as properties with over 100,000 square feet of contiguous space available for lease. Together, they total approximately 10.1 MSF.

• Santa Clara and North San Jose lead in large blocks, with 16 and 13 availabilities respectively. Moreover, the submarkets account for over 70 percent of the 15 largest availabilities.

• Across Silicon Valley, significant construction activity has caused a rise in vacancy, which currently sits at 17.0 percent, up from 12.4 percent in 2016. Over 5.2 MSF was delivered in 2017, and an additional 3.9 MSF is under development. Unabated tenant demand, highlighted by over 1.0 MSF of large block leasing activity in Santa Clara over the past 3 months, continues with little sign of slowing down in 2018.​
