Well located shopping centers that have good demographics continue to perform!

•While the retail sector has been under pressure for several years, well performing DFW shopping centers – those with occupancy above 80 percent – remain in high demand as evidenced by current, single-digit vacancy and net absorption of more than 18 million square feet since 2009. 

•These centers tend to be well located, have good access, compelling tenant rosters , and solid in-place demographics.

•Vacancy in the remaining lackluster assets continues to degrade, up as much as 30+ percent since 2012, and reflects close to 2 million square feet of negative absorption.
