Co-working spaces proliferate in San Francisco

  • Strong demand for creative space, networking opportunities from shared space, flexible lease terms, and plug-and-play occupancy offered by co-working companies have led to significant growth in San Francisco’s co-working sector.

  • San Francisco has 43 co-working spaces with a total footprint of more than 1.5 million square feet.  These spaces are concentrated in the North and South Financial District submarkets, but are expanding to other parts of the City.

  • No longer just for startups or small businesses, enterprise clients seeking lease term flexibility are a growing part of the tenant base.
