New developments in the Seaport make up 51 percent of all office and lab developments in Boston

  • Since 2010, 15 office/lab development projects have delivered, representing an additional 6.8 million square feet in supply.
  • Significant development has occurred outside of the Downtown and Back Bay submarkets. Over 51 percent of the added supply is located in the Seaport District. Of the 10 largest projects, seven are located in the Seaport. The new development at Boston Landing in Allston/Brighton make up 11 percent of the new supply.
  • Within Downtown (FiDi), only one project has delivered since 2010 – the mixed-use Atlantic Wharf featuring a 31-story glass tower and a restored historic building.  ​
