Phoenix Sky Harbor among the 10 least expensive airports in the U.S.

  • In a recent report analyzing which airports are the least costly, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport ranks fourth among 45 domestic airports. The airports were scored based on four elements: transportation to and from the airport, plane ticket prices, amenities and food. Phoenix scored a 76.0 out of 100, while Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas took the top two spots for the least expensive airports with scores of 87.7 and 87.4, respectively.
  • Phoenix ranks fourth because of its low cost in transportation and food at the airport. Whether you take mass transit, drive yourself and pay for parking, or take a cab or rideshare, getting to the airport is inexpensive.
  • Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is not only one of the least expensive airports in the U.S., but it’s one of the busiest airports, serving more than 43.3 million passengers in 2016. With a direct economic impact of $18.3 billion and supporting over 126,200 jobs in Metro Phoenix, Sky Harbor is a major contributing factor to the Valley’s welcoming business environment.
