Seattle is the hottest office market in the country

  • More than 981,000 square feet of occupancy gains occurred in the Seattle area in Q2, bringing the total for 2017 to 2.9 million square feet. Since the start of the year, a total of seven new projects have delivered, adding 2.3 million square feet of office space to the region. Four of those buildings, or 52.6 percent of the total space, were fully leased at delivery to single tenants.
  • Facebook took occupancy in 154,000 square feet at 1101 Westlake and Juno Therapeutics moved into 290,000 square feet upon completion of the Alexandria Center. The Eastside has also seen significant absorption, including 538,000 square feet at 400 Lincoln Square, from tenants such as Valve Software, WeWork, Bank of America and Epic Games.
  • Based on the 7.3 million square feet of current tracked tenant demand, momentum is not expected to slow down in the near future.
