OC tourism grows as visitor volume and spending hits five-year high

  • ​The travel industry in Orange County plays a significant role in the local economy with visitor spending rising 39.0% over a five-year span to $12.10 billion.
  • Demand for hotel rooms continues to grow with nine hotels containing 2,150 rooms delivered in 2016 and year-to-date 2017, with an additional seven hotels holding 980 rooms under construction. Not only does the increase in hotels impact tourism, but it also benefits business travelers.
