Fort Worth steadily adding jobs – up 160,000, despite some fall back in energy employment!

While the DFW region gets most of the economic press, the Metroplex is officially divided between Dallas – Plano and Fort Worth – Arlington.

Overall, we have been seeing annual jobs gains in DFW of more than 100,000 annually for several years.

The Fort Worth side of the region, however, has also been consistently adding jobs.  Since 2010, they have created more than 160,000 across a diverse industry make-up.  These are net new jobs and already account a modest loss in some energy-related employment over the period.

This growth translates into an almost 18.5 percent expansion in the local job base.
