Report | United States Office Outlook - Q4 2016
A combination of decelerating leasing velocity and a lower level of "mega leasing" in the fourth quarter of 2016 resulted in the lowest level of office occupancy growth in 24 months. No leases surpassed the 500,000-square-foot mark and there was a 43-percent overall drop in this form of "mega leasing." A bounce back is expected in 2017 as large letters of intent near lease execution.
