The Northwest submarket continues to lead San Antonio's office market with leasing activity and new development strong again in Q3. This past quarter saw the submarket claim four of the top five lease transactions and 728,000 square feet of new construction, the entire citywide volume of development activity. Financial services and the insurance sector were responsible for the majority of deals, totaling 462,000 square feet of expansionary leasing activity. Healthcare also saw substantial leasing volume, with the focal point of activity located in the Far West and Northwest submarkets.
