Report | Los Angeles Office Insight - Q3 2016

Summary

Despite a sluggish summer, Los Angeles looks to be pointed back in an upward direction. The majority of Q3 leasing activity was focused on existing tenants who inked renewals to stay put. Most of those deals were concentrated on the Westside and within creative buildings in the South Bay.

Investors clearly weren't scared off by a slower summer season as average pricing per square foot continues to rise to new heights. In Q3, average pricing hit a new cyclical peak of $457 per square foot and year-to-date sales volume is now more than double that of 2015 at $5.2 billion.
