Report | United States Office First Look - Q2 2016

Summary

It's business as usual. Tenants may have hit the pause button in the first quarter, but expansionary leasing resumed the lead, comprising nearly 50 percent of total leasing volume.

Nationwide, rents have grown 14 percent overall since Q1 2010, and 23.8 percent in CBDs. As a result, many markets are nearing peak pricing. With supply constraints plaguing the market at large—particularly in Millennial-favored markets—Class B properties are getting a boost.

We expect conditions to remain landlord-favorable in the majority of markets through 2017.
