Tampa Bay’s overall Class A market continues to rise, especially within the Tampa CBD and Westshore submarkets. The current $26.14 per square foot Class A asking rate is the highest recorded in the last decade.
We hear tenants are currently looking for 1.3 million square feet in requirements. 80 percent of that interest is in Hillsborough County.
With no new buildings under construction, current availability won’t be able to support this ongoing demand. Either build-to-suit developments or buildings with pre-leased portions will be needed.
