Hampton Roads lack of large block space is forcing some tenants to look towards non-traditional office buildings. As of Q1 2016, only four Class A and B blocks over 50,000 s.f. remain available across Peninsula and Southside.
Recently, Movement Mortgage took advantage of this alternative strategy when it executed its lease at the former Military Circle Mall in Central Norfolk. The company plans to use 75,000 square feet of the 209,109 square foot anchor space to house their expanded operations center.
