Chicago’s suburban office market got a boost in Q1, with a number of tenants going against conventional wisdom and recommitting to the suburbs.
While leasing activity continues to be strong, an abundance of large block space remains as several big-name tenants plan move outs the course of this year.
For the first time in years, new development will come to Chicago’s suburbs via the Eastern East-West Corridor submarket. Expect both the Eastern East-West Corridor and North Cook County to continue to attract tenants at the expense of other suburban submarkets farther from Chicago.
