Report | New Jersey Tech Office Outlook - 2015
New Jersey's tech sector is healthy, with a well-established talent pool that has honed its craft at some of the state's top companies. So far in 2015, more than a quarter of the state's office leases have involved tech companies.
The state's proximity to New York City, Newark Liberty International Airport and the railroad infrastructure across the state has also made the market attractive to companies who want to reach the global marketplace.
The major challenge for the New Jersey tech industry is the lack of modern office space. Nearly half of the office market was developed in the 1980s, and much of that inventory is concentrated in suburban submarkets, not the urban environment the majority of today's young talent seeks.
