Report | United States Economy Outlook - Summer 2010
Few expected the U.S. economic recovery to be smooth sailing. We expect the recovery to continue, but several factors are impacting the pace with the potential to disrupt the recovery. Despite several setbacks during the second quarter including a disruption in the jobs report, a declining stock market, fears over foreign debt contagions, and concerns over the impact phased out federal stimulus will have on consumer spending, the recovery remains on track. Recent weak reports give cause for concern, but the recovery has increasingly become broad-based during the first half of the year.
