Current responsibilities
John Cullen joined JLL in May of 2010 with a primary focus on business development.

John is the co-broker lead in the Detroit office and assists in project and development services, corporate services, and transaction and third party management opportunities.

John has over 18 years in the Real Estate industry focused on business development, asset management, project management and engineering services.

Recent projects

  • Senior Asset Manager responsible for approximately 3 million square feet of office and mixed use real estate in southeast Michigan. Properties include the Guardian Building, Cadillac Place, Burroughs and Grand Park Centre
  • Account Executive for Continental Automotive including sites in Michigan, Virginia and Illinois.  Responsibilities include full facilities management, project management and engineering services
  • Account Executive for the City of Detroit and their restructuring of real estate services.  Responsibilities include review of all leases and owned assets, restructuring recommendations, disposition of assets and occupancy cost analysis.
  • Client relationship manager focused on supporting growth and project development for a number of different firms including Rock Ventures, The Detroit RiverFront Conservancy, The Detroit Medical Center and Wayne County.
  • Project manager for the renovation of the Guardian Building on behalf of Wayne County, the project consisted of 220,000 square feet of tenant improvements and core and shell (MEP) work. 
  • Led financial analysis, due diligence and programming directives on behalf of Wayne County for their purchase of and relocation into The Guardian Building; a historic  500,000 square foot high rise located in the heart of Detroit’s central business district.
  • Hines team member supporting all asset management, leasing, capital and building operations for GM Renaissance Center; Phase I, Phase II and Millender Center effective March 2007

John supports many non profits including the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, The Parade Company, Downtown Detroit Partnership and is active in BOMA.
