Current responsibilitiesFred Battista is a Senior Vice President for Project and Development Services with JLL. His experience ensures a quality project, on time and within budget for our clients. With a strong background in Mechanical and Facility Engineering, his knowledge is invaluable in the design and value engineering phases of a project and allows him to make the right decisions that are in the best interest of our client.
He currently leads a team of project managers specializing in the hotel industry and has completed projects for the Ritz-Carlton Naples, the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island, Atlanta Marriott Suites, Four Seasons Atlanta, Atlanta Marriott Marquis, Scottsdale Hyatt Gainey Ranch, Charlotte Marriott, Atlanta Hilton, New Orleans Marriott, Westin Kierland, W Washington Marriott Biscayne Bay and the Tampa Airport Marriott.
Additional project experience includes corporate office, higher education, and a pharmaceutical plant decommissioning and demolition.
ExperienceFred has more than 25 years of experience in engineering, architecture, building systems, construction, environmental issues and asset analysis. He has managed construction, design and budgets, overall schedule control, design team selection and coordination and total project management.
Fred completed the $180mm Georgia Tech Technology Square Complex as the Project Director. This mixed-use Project includes a 250 room hotel and executive conference center, a 50,000 square foot bookstore, 20,000 square feet of retail, a new College of Management, an Executive Education Center, a Global Learning Center, the Economic Development Institute and Center for Quality Growth and Regional Development and a 1550 car parking garage. The Project totals 1.2 million square feet.
He has provided full development services for a wide range of corporate clients for projects in excess of 1,000,000 square feet and major renovations of buildings. His background in development of fine hotels, resorts and executive conference centers include Ritz-Carlton, Four Seasons, Marriott, Hilton, Sheraton, Crowne Plaza, Hyatt, W Hotels, Inter-Continental Hotels as well as independent Four Star Hotels and Executive Conference Centers.
Previous positions include: Vice President of Development and Technical Services for Sentry Hospitality, Corporate Director of Engineering, Director of Operations, Project Manager and Director of Engineering.
EducationFred studied Mechanical Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
AffiliationsHe is currently serving as the immediate Past President of the Association of Facility Engineers and Chapter President of the National Association of Power Engineers.
He is a LEED® Accredited Professional, Certified Plant Engineer and a Certified Engineering Operations Executive.
