​Current responsibilities
Scott Rantala is currently Market Lead for JLL's Project and Development Services team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Scott joined JLL in 2005 where he focused on growing the project management platform in central Ohio.

With a successful track record of delivering projects, Scott relocated to Grand Rapids, Michigan in October 2014 to open a new office for JLL in western Michigan. 

Scott is responsible for business development and the planning and execution of construction projects. He focuses on commercial tenant interior, building renovation and ground up projects, including management of both small and large scale projects from programming through construction.

Scott has more than 25 years of project management experience. Current projects include a 300,000 square foot ground up distribution warehouse for Stryker, refresh and restack projects for UnitedHealth Group for 3,000 employees, a 50,000 square foot headquarter relocation project for Resource, and a 58,000 square foot law firm renovation project for Kegler, Brown, Hill + Ritter, LLP.   

Recently completed projects include a 160,000 square foot new build headquarters / data center on an abandoned landfill for Time Warner Cable, a 70,000 square foot new build global training facility for Emerson Network Power/Liebert Services, and various call center projects for UnitedHealth Group. 

Prior to joining JLL, Scott worked for some of the leading construction management firms in the country. Past projects include a $200M football stadium renovation for The Ohio State University, a $40M medium security detention facility new build for the Manatee County Sheriff's Department, in Bradenton, FL and a $95M water improvement program for Sarasota County, FL.

Scott has a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

He is also a LEED Accredited Professional with the U.S. Green Building Council.
