Current responsibilities
Thierry Delvaux is a Managing Director at JLL and the Head of the firm’s International Desk.

Mr. Delvaux’ extensive knowledge of the Global Real Estate markets, combined with a background in finance and consulting, allows him to provide clients with a sophisticated and unique scope of services with an emphasis on strategic planning.

Previous experience
Mr. Delvaux has worked for JLL for close to 20 years and has participated in a variety of office and industrial projects, including several development / build-to-suit projects. Between 2001 and 2003, Mr. Delvaux implemented and led the Tenant Representation Services across Central and Eastern Europe.

From 2003 to 2010, Mr. Delvaux led JLL’s operation in Hungary. He was involved in all market segments to include Tenant Representation, Office, Industrial and Retail Agency, Capital Markets, Project and Property Management. While overseeing the operations in Hungary, in 2007, Mr. Delvaux opened and led JLL’s new office in Romania. He also has extensive work experience in the Balkan markets.

In March 2010, Mr. Delvaux relocated to the United States to establish and lead the new International Desk hub in the Washington, D.C. office.

Education and affiliations
Mr. Delvaux earned a degree in Economics from Leuven University. He also majored in Japanese studies. He lived for a year in Tokyo as a Rotary exchange student and speaks fluent Japanese.

Mr. Delvaux is a member of the very prestigious European “Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors” and is a Director at the International Kiwanis Club. He is also an advisory board member of an opportunistic fund investing in Central and Eastern Europe.
