Our people

​Robert Russell is a Senior Vice President for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Project and Development Services Group in the San Francisco office. He is responsible for at-risk development and base-building development management for Northern California. He has over 30 years of experience managing complex projects in the commercial, industrial, and mixed-use sectors.

Prior to Jones Lang LaSalle, Robert worked in various roles in the industry. Most recently he was Managing Principal at Ampelon Development Group in Oakland where he directed the development of a $110 million BART Station and Garages in Pleasanton and Dublin and a 150,000 s.f. warehouse and headquarters build-to-suit in Livermore, California. Robert also served with other leading development companies including Orix Real Estate Equities, Hillman Properties, Santa Fe Pacific Realty (Catellus) and Transpacific Development Company.
Key transactions
• Over 2.2 million s.f. of ground up development of CBD and suburban office, industrial and mixed-use projects.
• Processing entitlements for over 1,500 acres of land and 800 residential units.
• Implementing transit oriented development and public/private partnerships in infill locations.
• Providing innovative, strategic real estate solutions to corporate and pubic institutions in order to maximize value and minimize risk.
• Managing projects for private accounts and on behalf of others (REIT’s, Owner/Users, Investors).
• BA degree and Masters in Civil Engineering from Stanford University
• Master of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate from the University of California, Los Angeles Graduate School of Management
