Current responsibilities
John Starke is currently a Vice President and Client Relationship Manager with JLL providing leadership and oversight to the AT&T Mobility account, which consists of 2500 retail sites totaling over 7 million sf across the United States, Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. 

In this role, John is responsible for the successful delivery of Mobile Engineering Services, Call Center and Accounts Payable for the client, and works with AT&T’s corporate real estate leaders to develop key strategies, initiatives and key performance goals each year. 

Prior to assuming this role, he served as Vice President and Association Manager with JLL Retail for Atlantic Station, an 11 million sf mixed use development in Midtown Atlanta.

Experience
From 1997 to 2008, John served in many capacities with Holder Properties; a privately held real estate development firm based in Atlanta, Georgia, and held the position of Senior Vice President and Executive Committee Member. 

John designed, implemented and grew the firm’s property management department to 6 million sf and a fee base of $1.5 million while also pursuing new business relationships and opportunities. 

He also completed residential and student housing developments valued at over $80 million. In his final position, John served as the leader of the land acquisition function, acquiring over $30 million of speculative land sites to generate profit, including direct acquisition and due diligence of investments. 

Between 1992 and 1997, John was a Vice President of COMPASS Management and Leasing, with responsibility for a 7 million sf property and facility management portfolio. John also served as General Manager of two high rise properties in downtown Atlanta totaling 1.1 million sf, and managed an asbestos abatement capital program valued at $25 million.

Prior to joining COMPASS, John worked for Trizec Properties between 1990 and 1992, and with JMB Realty between 1988 and 1990, serving as General Manager for both firms. Responsibilities included oversight of the property management and leasing of their Atlanta portfolios.

John has 23 years experience managing and leasing an array of properties, including office, industrial, multi-family, call center and high-technology.  His experience is broad-based and national.  During his career he has successfully managed large teams, including property management and leasing, construction and development.

Experience
John holds Georgia, South Carolina Virginia and New York real estate broker licenses. He earned a degree in Finance from Georgia State University.
