Current Responsibilities

Mr. Jensen is an Executive Vice President and Director of Development, Operations and Tenant Coordination for Jones Lang LaSalle Retail. He has overall responsibility for creating and executing effective operations, development and tenant coordination services for our portfolio.  His primary focus is to oversee the regional operations teams in the implementation of cost savings and sustainability initiatives to lessen property risks, develop expense efficiencies and reduce operating costs to achieve ownership goals.  In his role, Mr. Jensen provides strategic guidance to the development team who are responsible for project management and development services for ground-up projects, redevelopments and renovations for our clients.   He also oversees the development team’s efforts to secure deals and manage relationships with the anchor stores, theatres and big box tenants. Additionally, he ensures our tenant coordination team successfully implements innovative, high-quality store and brand presentations delivered timely and within budget to meet client needs.

Mr. Jensen has been in the shopping center industry for more than 30 years, with experience in management, operations, development, marketing and leasing.  During his tenure at Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Jensen served as the Client Relationship Manager for the Gregory Greenfield & Associates and Morgan Stanley portfolios.  His responsibilities included working directly with the clients to ensure an understanding of investment objectives and development of property-specific strategic plans and operating and capital budgets. 

Throughout his career, Mr. Jensen has also provided executive oversight for many renovations, redevelopments and repositioning of shopping centers totaling over $400MM in project value.  He has successfully worked directly with clients to identify opportunities and execute strategies to maximize a center’s potential.
Prior to joining Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Jensen was General Manager of several properties as well as a Midwest Regional Management Director with Homart Development Company, based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.  Mr. Jensen also worked for Sears, Roebuck & Company as a Division Manager.

Education and Affiliations
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh, Mr. Jensen earned a bachelor of science degree in administrative management.  Additionally, he holds a Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) designation from the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
