Current responsibilities
Mike is an Executive Vice President for the JLL Retail Division. He has responsibility for business development seeking new clients and property types and new assignments with existing clients for retail centers.

His primary focus is working directly with clients to gain an understanding of investment objectives, developing growth strategies and meeting service needs.

Additionally, his role is to ensure that we continue to provide exemplary service to our clients.

Before joining JLL, Mike served as Director of Leasing for Inland Retail Real Estate Trust Inc., where he was responsible for directing all leasing activities from South Carolina to New England. His portfolio consisted of 130 centers totaling 18 million s.f. throughout 17 states.

Throughout his tenure, Mike negotiated sales and leasing deals ranging from national retail anchors to local and regional tenants in lifestyle centers, power centers, grocery-anchored centers, regional malls and specialty retail in the largest metropolitan markets as well as tertiary rural markets.

His accomplishments included maintaining 98% occupancy and increasing annual net rent collections by more than $5.6 million per year for the region.

Additionally, Mike served as Director of Leasing at Lat Purser & Associates where he directed all leasing services for the 88-center portfolio. 

His responsibilities included tenant representation, investment sales and business development, in which he secured leasing and/or management contracts for more than 20 properties. 

Mike's experience also includes working at Steven D. Bell & Company and Urban Retail Properties as a Group Manager, Property Manager and Leasing Representative for various retail properties throughout the Southeast.

Mike is a graduate of Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business and public administration with a concentration in real estate finance and a minor in marketing.
