Our people

Deb has a uniquely diverse range of real estate experience. As an Account Executive for the Strategic Occupancy Services practice she manages portfolios for a diverse range of companies requiring a highly strategic and interactive client interface.  Over the past 20+ years, Deb has completed projects throughout the major, secondary and tertiary U.S. markets, as well as in Canada and some European cities. She has completed more than 25 million square feet of projects for clients such as ADP, the United Nations, Ipsos, Comcast and Quad Graphics.

​​​​​​In the industrial property sector, Ms. van der Heyden has leased warehouse and distribution facilities and has sold land throughout the United States and completed adaptive re-use studies for obsolete energy sites in New York City and Long Island, New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

Deb moved her SOS team to Jones Lang LaSalle in 2009, following fifteen years establishing and running a similar practice at Newmark Knight Frank.​

Deb is a graduate of the College of Communication at Boston University and the Master's degree program at New York University's Real Estate Institute.
