Current Responsibilities

Cara Trani serves as Senior Vice President for JLL in San Francisco, providing tenant representation to national and regional companies. Her advisory services include financial analysis, lease negotiations, expansions, consolidations, relocations, subleases, building acquisitions and dispositions. She has represented clients in more than 300 transactions involving over seven million square feet of property during her eight-year real estate career. Cara’s strategic approach, comprehensive market knowledge and negotiating experience allows her to deliver best-of-market results for her clients.


Over the course of her career, Cara has secured 2.5 million SF of multi-location leases representing Health Net Inc., 550,000 SF agency listing for CalPERS headquarters, 460,000 SF agency listing for CIM Group’s Downtown Class-A Park Tower, 30,000 SF lease of University of San Francisco for Rubicon Partners, 15,000 SF lease of Alliant International University on behalf of KVIE Public Television, 13,000 SF relocation of FFP Global’s call center and the 10,000 SF headquarters of California State University Sacramento’s Center for Collaborative Policy.  

Prior to joining JLL in 2009, Cara was an Office Specialist for Colliers International.  In this role she represented tenants, owner/users and investor/landlords. She was responsible for the leasing, acquisition/disposition, and marketing of over 2 million square feet throughout the Sacramento region. She successfully completed over 50 new lease and owner/user purchase transactions during her first year in the business. 

Education, Affiliations and Honors

Cara earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Real Estate and Land Use Affairs, from California State University, Sacramento. She also holds a designation as a LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, Accredited Professional), enabling her to provide advisory services to her clients on best sustainable business practices. Cara is active in the community with several organizations, including Juma Ventures and Raphael House.
