Current responsibilities
Mr. Eachus is a Managing Director in JLL’s Washington DC office and has been with the firm for over fifteen years. He is one of the founding members of JLL’s Public Institutions practice and currently serves as the lead for all state, county and municipal government clients in the Eastern region. In this role he leads a multi-disciplinary team of professionals that advise clients across the region on real estate development, management, portfolio optimization, asset monetization and other real estate issues. His particular area of expertise is public-private partnerships (P3); he has assisted numerous public entities in structuring partnerships to address their portfolio and development objectives. 
 
Previous experience
Since joining JLL in 1998, Mr. Eachus has underwritten, structured, negotiated and financed several billion dollars’ worth of urban and suburban public-private development projects across the country. He has worked on behalf of numerous state, local and quasi-governmental entities, several colleges and universities as well as private developers. Some representative assignments include:
  • The World Trade Center redevelopment in New York, NY
  • The Old Convention Center redevelopment in Washington, DC
  • The Southwest Waterfront redevelopment in Washington, DC
  • O’Hare International Airport in Chicago, IL
  • Mesa del Sol in Albuquerque, NM
  • Residential Communities Initiative housing projects for the US Army
  • BRAC redevelopment of Fort Monmouth, NJ
  • The portfolio of the Virgin Islands Port Authority in the USVI
  • Several University Gateway development projects for: the University of Arizona, University of Pennsylvania, University of New Mexico and Loyola University Chicago.
  • US SOUTHCOM Headquarters in Miami, FL
  • General Motors hot-weather test track at Yuma Proving Grounds, AZ

Education and affiliations
Mr. Eachus earned his M.B.A. in finance and real estate from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and graduated from the University of Arizona cum laude with a B.S. in business administration. Mr. Eachus is a member of the Urban Land Institute and a regular speaker at real estate development conferences across the country.
