Our people

​​​Jim Lindvall is a Managing Director overseeing the North Los Angeles office market, representing both landlords and tenants.  He joined Jones Lang LaSalle in 2008.
The majority of Jim’s career has been dedicated to working with developers, institutional owners and tenants within the L.A. North marketplace, specializing in serving the real estate needs of the Entertainment and Life Science Industry.

Years of experience

Prior to Jones Lang LaSalle, Jim was a Senior Vice President at Grubb & Ellis where his primary responsibilities included land acquisition, entitlement and marketing of large office developments within the L.A. North marketplace.  Additional responsibilities included strategic planning and implementation of large tenant representation assignments.

Key transactions
• Dole Foods’ corporate headquarters relocation to Westlake Village which included leasing of flexible short-term office space and the acquisition of a development site that now accommodates both the 180,000 square foot Dole Corporate Headquarters and the 270 room Four Seasons Hotel.
• Unilab’s headquarters relocation which included the largest blood lab in the County of Los Angeles. This project required securing zoning variance and entitlements for the rehab and construction of 175,000 square feet.
• The restructure and renewal of 200,000 square feet of both direct lease and sublease on behalf of Universal Music Group.
• Land acquisition, entitlement and lease up of the Westlake North and Westlake Landmark projects totaling over half a million square feet; working on behalf of the landlord.
• The lease up and sale of the Trillium consisting of over 600,000 square feet.
• Leasing oversight for 10 Universal City Plaza, a 750,000 square foot joint venture between Texaco and Universal Studios which also included negotiating the purchase of Texaco’s joint venture interest by Universal Studios.
• The disposition of a 120,000 square foot office/laboratory building on behalf of U.S. Borax.


• From 1996-2007 Jim consistently achieved Grubb & Ellis’ highest achievement award, participating annually in the Circle of Excellence.  He has been consistently recognized as the one of the top commercial real estate professionals in Los Angeles by The Los Angeles Business Journal, Commercial Property News and CoStar.
