Current responsibilities
Giles Wrench is Managing Director of the International Desk (‘iDesk’) for JLL. Giles is an experienced and recognized leader in the industry who has focused on servicing the real estate needs of multi-national occupiers during his 17 year career.

Giles began his real estate career in London and is a qualified Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.  In 1996 Giles transferred to Hong Kong where he joined the corporate account for Bank of America. 

In 1998 Giles relocated to New York where for 5 years he worked as a tenant rep broker advising a variety of local and international occupiers. 

In 2003 Giles setup one of the first International Desks of any global service provider. 

Over the last nine years he has provided international real estate services to an extensive list of corporate clients including Pearson, Viacom, Alliance Bernstein, Travelers, Vanguard, ACE Insurance, KBR and Bloomberg. 

Giles has been involved in real estate transactions across Europe, Asia and the Americas and is regarded as an expert in the field of international real estate.

Giles was recognized by Commercial Property News in 2002 as a future leader in the industry. During his tenure with his former company, BNP Paribas, Giles ran the New York real estate desk and in 2004 was appointed to lead their International Corporate Services Team. 

In 2007 Giles joined The Staubach Company (TSC) to provide advice to the Board as options for the future of the company were considered.  Giles has spoken as an expert at various functions including CORENET and CPN’s Executive Summit.

Today Giles heads the efforts of the iDesk in the New York office of JLL and is a member of the Brokerage Executive Committee in the Americas. 

He is also a member of the firm’s Global Leasing Group providing a dedicated link between Jones Lang LaSalle’s iconic agency leasing assignments and the firm’s occupier relationships.

Giles holds a Bachelor Degree in Real Estate from the University of Westminster, London.  In 2006 Giles completed a Certificate in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.

Giles is also a former helicopter pilot / flight instructor and continues to hold a Commercial Helicopter Pilot’s License (Federal Aviation Administration).
